TCEP re-CONNECT Safety Protocol

TCEP/ACEP strive to provide meaningful member experiences in a responsible manner. As an in-person attendee, your safety is our top priority. As such, TCEP is requiring that individuals who attend in person TCEP events be fully vaccinated. An individual is considered “fully vaccinated” when it has been at least two weeks since receiving the final dose, as recommended by the manufacturer, of a vaccine that has been authorized by the FDA for use in the United States, including vaccinations that have been approved pursuant to an Emergency Use Authorization.

Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC recommends that people get fully vaccinated. Per the CDC, vaccines are safe and highly effective at protecting people from severe COVID-19. Getting fully vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you. The CDC still recommends prevention measures for unvaccinated people. For more information see www.cdc.gov.

Safety guidelines below are subject to change at any time based on federal, state, and local regulations. We ask that in-person attendees follow all safety policies at all times, and that you do not attend any in-person event if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness.

COVID-19 Policies for TCEP re-CONNECT

  • Everyone attending TCEP re-CONNECT is required to be fully vaccinated and will be asked to agree to an attestation.
  • Masks: Following ACEP COVID protocols: CDC recommends wearing face masks or face covering in public settings to prevent the spreading of infectious diseases. Masks are not required at re-CONNECT 2022, but encouraged.
  • Spouses can attend the welcome reception at TCEP re-CONNECT only if they are fully vaccinated. They will need to register as your guest(s) and meet the same vaccination requirements.
  • State and local guidelines continue to be monitored daily, as well as the evolving conditions in your communities nationwide.
  • While we love celebrating together at TCEP CONNECT, please be mindful of sharing some images on social media. TCEP re-CONNECT can be an example of how large events can take place safely with vaccinations and other protocols, but please be cautious that some images may result in a different public perception.

I attest to the following:

  • I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with an FDA-authorized vaccine. And my guests, if any, are all fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with an FDA-authorized vaccine.
  • I have not had a COVID-19 diagnosis in the past 14 days.
  • I have not experienced the onset of any one of the primary primary COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days.
  • I will, if I experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19 during the TCEP event, immediately seek out appropriate medical care and will not attend any additional sessions/events.
  • I will notify TCEP, and I will not attend any more in person activities during the TCEP event, if I test positive for COVID-19 at any point during the TCEP event.
  • I will follow the guidelines for individuals who test positive for COVID-19.
  • I will respect others’ comfort levels with respect to social distancing and physical contact.
